What is Rivo and how does it work?

Rivo is a pure digital streamer, technically called DIGITAL TRANSPORT.

It allows you to stream digital sources perfectly to an external DAC, without filters, straight to its digital outputs, optimizing the high resolution audio in terms of detail, cleaning of the signal path and definitely a better signal processing.

Which audio outputs does Rivo implement?

Rivo has 3 kind of audio outputs onboard.

• SPDIF (up to 192KHz/24bit PCM audio)

• AES/EBU (up to 192KHz/24bit PCM audio)

• USB DAC 5V low-noise filtered (up to 768KHz/32bit PCM audio)

SPDIF and AES EBU filtering and isolation have been meticulously designed by employing multiple 1:1 OFC copper grain-oriented transformers, which guarantee the galvanic isolation of these digital outputs.

How does the first setup of the unit work?

The first configuration setup process is very easy and it takes only few minutes:

• Download the official Volumio APP (for iOS and Android)

• Once fired up the APP, follow the step-by-step instructions

In a few minutes you can enjoy your music at the best!

How many devices the Volumio plan included in Rivo can handle?

The Volumio plan built-in fits for the Rivo device itself.

To handle multiple devices in addition to Rivo, keeping them inside an account (I.e. for Multiroom purposes) you need the PREMIUM PLAN.

Premium plan allows up to 6 devices, with Pro features.

Anyway you can still add, on your local network, other Volumio devices with FREE PLAN and see them all, together, in the User Interface.
