How to perform a factory reset via USB?

  1. Download the factory reset file or create a new file called factory_reset (no extension) containing only the text factory_reset.

  2. Format a drive in FAT32 and copy the factory_reset file into the drive.

  3. Turn off the device.

  4. Insert the USB drive.

  5. Turn on the device.

While performing a factory reset, the device may restarts multiple times and will take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. During that time DO NOT turn off or cut power to the device.

The factory_reset file will be erased from the USB drive once the procedure it's complete.
