MyVolumio or plugins can't connect: check your network filters

If MyVolumio shows "not connected" or plugins don't load, a network filter may be blocking the servers Volumio needs.

Some routers, DNS services and apps include features that block internet domains, such as tracker or ad blocking, Pi-hole, NextDNS, parental controls, security filters or VPNs. These features can also block the servers that Volumio needs to work properly.

Typical symptoms

  • MyVolumio shows "not connected" in the device settings.

  • Settings are not saved, or your plan is not recognized.

  • The list of plugins doesn't load.

  • myvolumio.org doesn't open from your home network.

How to check

Open myvolumio.org from your phone using mobile data, with Wi-Fi turned off. If it loads on mobile data but not on your home network, a network filter is very likely the cause.

How to fix it

You don't need to turn off your network protection completely. In your router or filtering service, add an exception in one of these ways:

  1. Exclude your Volumio device from the blocking or filtering feature.

  2. Or allow the domains used by Volumio:

  • myvolumio.firebaseio.com (MyVolumio account)

  • *.firebaseio.com and radio-directory.firebaseapp.com

  • www.googleapis.com and securetoken.googleapis.com (sign-in)

  • *.volumio.org (plugins, updates and streaming services)

  • *.volumio.cloud

Then restart your Volumio device and check MyVolumio again in the settings.

If it still doesn't connect, contact our support team and send us a log from your device, so we can check which server can't be reached.
