Rivo and Rivo+ are both pure digital streamers (digital transports): they stream your music in the highest quality to your DAC, amplifier or active speakers with a digital input. Both are designed and made in Florence, include all Volumio Premium features at no additional cost and are Roon Ready.
Rivo+ builds on the award-winning Rivo (EISA Best Digital Player 2023-2024) with a set of upgrades for the most demanding systems.
What Rivo+ adds
I2S/DSD over HDMI output: up to PCM 768 kHz/32-bit and DSD512, with adjustable pinout, for high-end DACs with an I2S input such as Volumio Preciso.
A dedicated ASIC that generates the S/PDIF and AES/EBU signals, offloading this task from the CPU for cleaner digital outputs, now also with DSD64 via DoP.
Upgraded MEMS clocks for lower jitter and higher stability, including on the USB DAC output.
A 12V trigger output to switch your other components on and off together with Rivo+.

Which one is right for you?
Choose Rivo if your DAC or amplifier connects via USB, S/PDIF or AES/EBU: you get the same award-winning sound and the full Volumio experience.
Choose Rivo+ if your DAC has an I2S input, if you want the cleanest S/PDIF and AES/EBU outputs, or if you want to switch your system on and off with the 12V trigger. Paired with Preciso, it forms a complete Volumio digital chain.
Rivo is also available in a Black Edition with an upcycled leather front panel, and Rivo+ in a Special Edition with a brown leather finish.
