How to connect Preciso to Rivo+?

Preciso can be connected to Rivo+ via USB or via I2S over HDMI. Both connections support up to PCM 768 kHz/32-bit and DSD512.

Connection via USB

  1. Connect the USB output of Rivo+ to the USB input of Preciso.

  2. Power on Preciso first, then Rivo+.

  3. Select the USB input on Preciso with the left knob.

  4. In Volumio go to Settings → Playback Options → Output Device and select Preciso, then save.

Connection via I2S

  1. Connect the I2S (HDMI) output of Rivo+ to the I2S input of Preciso with a standard HDMI cable, as short as possible.

  2. Power on Preciso first, then Rivo+.

  3. Select the I2S input on Preciso with the left knob.

  4. In Volumio go to Settings → Playback Options → Output Device and select S/PDIF + AES/EBU + I2S, then save.

Preciso is already configured to work with Rivo+ via I2S, so no I2S mode or channel setting is needed on the DAC. Only one output can be active at a time: to switch between USB and I2S, change the output device in the Volumio app.
